Terms and Conditions of Purchase

Please take a moment to review our Terms and Conditions for purchasing from Marie Chandler Bridal. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms and conditions. At Marie Chandler Bridal, we value our customers and their experience with us.

Bespoke Items

a) Bespoke items are non refundable, as they are custom-made according to your specifications. We take care to ensure that all our items are created with the utmost quality and that you are satisfied with your purchase.

b) This is a face to face process and you will have opportunities throughout to raise any concerns and we can address these together. Once the construction process has begun your payment cannot be returned.

​

c) The design and sampling process is charged at £250. At this point if you feel that we are not the designers for you, you are under not obligation to continue with your order. The design fee is none refundable as services will have already been rendered.

 

d) Garment payments are made in 3 stages, once we begin construction of your garment refunds will not be given.

e) Any additional payments will be added as appropriate, these may be related to changes of fabric, changes to design once the final construction has begun or drastic changes to your measurements

​

f) Measurements will be taken after we finalise your design, it is recommended these measurements are taken by us at our studio. If you wish to provide your measurements to us we cannot be held liable for their accuracy and additional costs may be charged for any extra work on our part to correct it. You will need to sign to say you agree it the measurements taken as part of your contract.

g) In the event of any unforeseen and unlikely issues with your garment on our part (accidental damage, for example) you will be offered a replacement to your exact design, any extra costs incurred will be paid for by us.

Made to Measure/Order

a) Made to measure/order items are non refundable as they are custom-made according to your specifications. These items can be ordered online but are made to order for each customer based on your measurements against our 'standard' garment sizes.

b) We take care to ensure that all our items are created with the utmost quality and that you are satisfied with your purchase. Items are personalised for each client, whether in size, shape, colour or fabric.

​

c) Items on arrival will likely need some minor alterations from your local alterations specialist or we can offer this service if you are happy to travel to us. We work this way so that we do not hold any excess stock like a store, minimising our environmental impact.

​

d) If you wish to purchase a made to measure piece but want to come for a fitting, fittings will be charged in addition to the final garment price advertised, with fitting and alteration services starting at £250. 

​

e) If you purchase a made to order item but change your mind please inform us in writing (via email) within 7 days to cancel your order. Any orders after this will be non refundable as the construction process will have started to your specific requests. If you do not inform us in writing your order cannot be cancelled and you will be charged in full for your item even if you do not want it.

 

f) When ordering made to measure please ensure your measurements are correct. We cannot be held liable for incorrect measurements taken on your part. If you are unsure about taking your measurements you could contact a local alterations specialist to ensure accuracy. We will not take any responsibly for this decision.

g) Made to measure order processing times will vary depending on the item, we endeavour to send out all garments within 28 days of purchase, but in the event of any delays we will keep you up to date.

 

h) If you need your item within a shorter time scale then 28 days please email us before making your purchase to ensure we have availability for a rush job. We charge an additional 20% on the item price for rush items.

g) All our garments are quality checked and in perfect condition when they leave our studio and will be photographed before being packaged up. On the rare occasion there is any damage to the product on arrival please contact us at the first instance. Refunds can only be issued if you provide us with factual evidence of the damage. 

​

h) All garments posted will be sent via special delivery and we will provide you with a tracking number.

​

Sizing/Measurements

a) Gowns are bespoke or made to order to the measurements taken by us prior to your wedding date. You must agree upon these measurements at the time taken. After the measurements have been signed, Marie Chandler Bridal can not and will not accept any responsibility in respect of any changes which may occur in the customers size and body shape. Any changes needed to be made to the garment as a result of weight gain or loss beyond 1" will be charged extra as appropriate.

b) We (Marie Chandler Bridal) will not be responsible for inaccurate measuring should a customer wish to the their own measurements. We do not advise having your measurements taken elsewhere.

​

c) Your measurements will be provided to us with no less than 6 months prior to the wedding date. A ‘RUSH ORDER’ fee will be applicable if measurements are received or taken after this. This ensure we have enough time to create your dress and schedule enough fittings.

Sample Items

a) All of our sample pieces are sold as seen. These items have been custom made for brides to try in our studio or for a specific model at a photoshoot, therefore due to the bespoke nature of the item they cannot be refunded.

 

b) Some may have some minor damage which will be stated when you place your order. Please take note of this before you buy and contact us for any more information should you require it.

 

c) Each garment is cleaned and maintained before it is sent to you, but things like catches in fabric cannot be fixed.

 

d) Please contact us if you are unsure and would like to try any pieces on. We are happy to book in a consultation are our studio. You can contact us on hello@mariechandlerbridal.com and we will endeavour to get back to you within 48 hours.

e) If you wish to reserve an item on our website until you have booked an appointment it try it on, please contact us. We offer this service for an admin fee of £50. This covers our time to reserve the item, attend your fitting and relist it in the event you decide not to purchase the item. This fee is non refundable. 

​

f) All garments posted will be sent via special delivery and we will provide you with a tracking number.

Alterations

a) The price of garments excludes all costs in respect of alterations or fitting work howsoever this service is provided, except for in the case of choosing to have a bespoke service with your dress. Alterations advised cost is from £150-£300 but this in no way serves as a minimum or maximum price range.

​

b) Customers can expect their first fitting to be normally carried out approximately 8-10 weeks before the wedding. Final collection date will be discussed and agreed individually with each bride.

​

c) Gowns are designed to be worn with underwear unless otherwise discussed, a suitably structured bra/lingerie is advisable but at the customers personal choice.

​

d) It is essential that customers bring their wedding shoes and any underwear being worn on the wedding day to each one of their fitting appointments. Fitting appointments that are unable to go ahead or incur further appointments due to this will be charged at a £45 flat fee.

​

e) Marie Chandler Bridal offers an on site fitting and alterations service. Fittings and alterations works may be carried out elsewhere if required, customers are not obliged to use the services provided by Marie Chandler Bridal.

​

f) An email or phone call will be sent to inform the customer of their outfit being ready to collect. Balances MUST be settled before the garment is taken from our studio. 

​

g) Customers are asked to make themselves available for all fittings and alterations when reasonably required and should be prepared to attend for at least three to five fittings. Fitting days may be limited to our availability but we will do our best to accommodate requests where required.

 

h) If customers have a significant change in body shape or size following the sales order being placed, it is their responsibility to inform us as soon as possible. It is not policy to take in gowns/garments by any more than one dress size (maximum 2”) as this could adversely affect the style and look of the gown. It is at the customers' risk if more than this is required to be taken in.

​

Letting out of all gowns is also not advisable, and is at the risk of the customer should they decide on this requirement for their outfit. Panelling in the item may be required if the garment needs to be let out. Advice taken from the alteration specialist is also taken at the customers' own risk and personal choice, the specialist cannot be held responsible for any decisions made about the alteration of any garment which is deemed unsatisfactory after any alterations are completed if the customer has requested them.

i) Marie Chandler Bridal will not be held liable for any alterations done by other specialists to our garments once they have left our premises. 

Cancellation of Online Orders

You will have 7 days from the point of purchase in which to cancel or change your mind on any made to order item. You must provide written notice for this refund to be valid. After this point your order will begin construction and is therefore non refundable and will be charged in full.

SAMPLE GARMENTS ARE SOLD AS SEEN AND ARE NON REFUNDABLE. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE

Third Party Services

a) Marie Chandler Bridal will not be held responsible for any services held by a third party, whether or not such third party was recommended by us. This includes but is not limited to alterations, dry cleaning and postage.

​

b) Liability for your outfit will begin once the outfit has left our studio.

​

c) If for any reason we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this as soon as we are able and will not charge you for the product. Any part payment will be refunded to you in this event. This might be because the product has been discontinued for any reason, we have identified an error in the price or description of the product or we are unable to meet the delivery deadline specified.

 

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OUTLINED ABOVE DO NOT IN ANY WAY AFFECT THE CUSTOMERS STATUTORY RIGHTS.

Non Collection of Goods

​

a) If customers do not collect their goods within 3 months of the wedding date then the contract will be deemed cancelled without any further notification and any monies paid will not be refunded. Outfits will be put into the shops stock to be re-sold.
